The war in Marawi led to the creation of IMAN Relief, a plain Facebook messenger group which  was aimed to notify colleagues and allies in health both in government and NGOs on the alert levels that has displaced more than half a million residents and loss of lives. Despite being displaced himself in the war in Marawi which began on May 23 this year, IMAN Board Member Dr. Abdul Nasser Maca-alin took charge of the relief efforts as members and allied health professionals, government linkages from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao continue to interact and share expertise, active duties, donations and message of relief for Marawi victims. IMAN, headed by President Dr. Al-Radjid Jamiri, a Colorectal Surgeon based in Zamboanga, is still in the process of formalizing its Mindanao Office. We request that our generous donors bear with us as we help facilitate various outreach work.

Nov 29 2015, UP Diliman - IMAN Philippines' 2015 Board of Directors and Members successfully held its 9th Founding Anniversary and 1st Islamic Medicine Lecture Series themed "Back to Basic: Islamic Awareness in Healthcare Delivery" at the School for Urban and Regional Planning at the University of the Philippines, Diliman. This year's theme was inspired by the need to revisit our iman and knowledge about Islamic rulings especially on sensitive topics encountered in everyday medical practice. Manila—The Islamic Medical Association of the Philippines, Inc. (IMAN) joins various Muslim organizations throughout the metro in “Towards Peace 2015: Embracing our Imaan, the Philippine Tour” last March 1, 2015 at Philippine Trade Training Center, this city. This event, the last leg of a series of Islamic lectures around the country (Cotabato, Cagayan De Oro, and Marawi), was led by internationally known lecturers Mufti Ismael Menk and Brother Wael Ibrahim as guest speakers.
