Surgery entails one of the toughest residency trainings especially in government institutions in the country. Withstanding 5 years of long hours in the operating room almost without sleep, saving a life as an occupation nearly 24/7, serving communities, and living far from your loved ones may be such an exhausting task to many. But Alhamdulillah, this did not tire the spirit of our IMAN Co-Founder and VP Dr. Al-Radjid Jamiri, who already completed his residency training in Surgery at the Philippine General Hospital and even topped the national residency training program in the recently held examinations. Dr Jamiri has been an active student leader since pre-med days and has helped bring together many muslim students within the institution to come together as a family,including the Islamic Medical Association of the Phils.
